I’m not a full time song writer or anything but I like to mess around and make songs every now and then. What I seem to struggle with in writing songs or really writing is trying to reestablish the mood I was in when I wrote that song. Now, I could be completely different from others or relatable, I’m not sure. I haven’t spoken with songwriters for a while, besides a buddy of mine Jeff that writes songs and is in a band. 

We would ask each other how many incomplete songs do you have and do you plan on getting back to them. The biggest struggle we both shared was the struggle to get back in that mindset because that song was mostly a mood or how you may have felt in that time.

Another conversation I had with a coworker of mine was how do songwriters deal with writing something or a piece about someone but they are no longer with that someone and with someone else. It may take a secure person or it would have to take a secure person to be with a person that wrote a song about someone else and it may be a hit song. 

That’s why I choose to not write any hit songs.

Haha.

The struggle is difficult to find that mood again. I explained that in my podcast “What to eat” episode.

 (I apologize for the audio that I thought was going to sound good) Pretty sure my phone microphone was picking up my dryer in the background and I didn’t realize it until after I promoted the episode. I promise I’m always looking to improve the audio and other aspects of this podcast/blog. 

The song is written by Poser le Deento and called “No es lo mismo sin ti.” 

I feel I could have put a lot more into that song but it wasn’t a mood I wanted to stay in for too long so, I finished it, and I don’t think I’m going to look back on that one, at least not for now. 

Writing music is tough sometimes and so can be writing and being creative. But I do love working on this part of my brain. This is going to be a different but fun ride, I hope some get some enjoyment or worth from what I share.
